:nervous: Maybe this topic was answered a million times before but... I was looking up for bootlegs and found out these songs:

Love Vigilantes (stockholm 1981) Aleph (london 1983) We Love You (Mayfair Suite, Sunderland 15/08/84) Heard It All Before (Mayfair Suite, Sunderland 15/08/84)

:scratch: I wonder if any of these tracks were misprinted. Usually happens that they´re actually songs we all know, but printed with other names. I was really shocked when I saw Love Vigilantes on a 1981 bootleg! The other three surely are misprintings like Heard It All Before that appears to be Face Up. Could anyone answer this?

Love Vigilantes* must surely be an error, but "Aleph" was the the working title for Sooner Than You Think, and also early versions of that same song basically had Barney repeating the line "You know we love you, you know we do" throughout, which could explain no 3.

* by the way, has anyone noticed that Love Vigilantes isn't on Retro?

'Love Vigilantes' was written late 1984 and debuted in January 1985, so could not have been on any 1981 bootlegs.

'Aleph' and 'We Love You' were both working titles for 'Sooner Than You Think', and 'Heard It All Before' was a working title for 'Sunrise'. At the time, 'Face Up' was known as 'The Japanese One'.

Think I've asked this before, but not sure it's been answered - doesn't Alpeh stand for something? I've A__ L__ E___ Peter Hook? Seem to remember seeing/hearing that years back, but can't remember the quote.

Got a brilliant review somewhere from the 84 summer tour where the journalist tries to 2nd guess the names of the newer Low-Life tracks. Will have to dig it out. . .
