Is the CD "Out Of Order" a real release? I mean, I am sure it is not by their record label, but is it issued by another label, or is it some guy's creation on his home machine? It has some song called Evil Dust (Remix) and the extended mix of Run 2. Some help here anyone?
Is New Order's "Out Of Order" a hoax album?

I don't know it but it sounds like it is a compilation of compilation tracks, which would explain the good sound quality, seeing as they are tracks that were really released by the band, just not in that form together.

I am not a big NO remix guy, I hated Rest Of. Are these remixes better? Are they done by the band, or other groups?

Run 2 for instance is the version from the official vinyl, Evil Dust is the normal version taken from one of these samplers. The Razormaid remix of 586 nearly tops the original, no remix, just a cut & paste-job to rearrange the song. The Paradise remix is also pretty cool, but this one will be available on the Retro boxset. TBTHOG and Blue Monday are already officially available, the Subculture-Remix is okay. If you can get it cheap, i'd recommend it ;)
I've got it. Bought it at Vertigo.
Run is decent. Perfect Kiss is great as is Bizarre Love Triangle, and Touched By The Hand of God.
It's also got a great version of Sub-culure and Paradise.
I agree. This is a good piece to add to your collection, if you can get it for a reasonable price.
They sound a bit older the 'The Rest Of' Remixes.
Bizarre Love Triangle sounds quite a bit like BLT on Substance, except it's even more extended if that's any help. Same type of sound.

I know this subject has been brought many times before, but there are some remixes that are actually better than the original song... so you can't be against those ones!!
Examples: World (Perfecto Edit), Spooky (Minimix), Nineteen63 (Arthur Baker Remix)
And sometimes, they are an extended version of a song you like, like Round & Round Extended Mix, and Touched by the Hand of God 12" mix.. you must love them too!
But sometimes, we all agree, they are simply shit (all other Nineteen63 remixes for instance), when they change the track completely, or lose lyrics, it's not remixes, it's a new track with samples, and it's not worthy of being called New Order material.

The Razormaid Remix (or let's better say Cut&Paste-Job) of "586" is brilliant !!! Also the "Exclusive Record Mirror Mix" of Subculture is really good!
Cool, thanks for the input - I will be trying to pick this up. It seemed like this would be a good remix album to have.
