My Tutti Frutti 12" from Japan (w/Takkyu Ishino remix) shipped this morning. Went to HMV Japan site to check on some other things and noticed that the 12" is now listed as DELETED and SOLD OUT. Glad I ordered one!

Release date is 6/4/2016 on Amazon.co.jp.
When you'll get it, could you tell me/us if the download code includes the Takkyu mix?
Likewise, mine has shipped. I'll race you.
Should've ordered two. It just felt like something that'd be pretty limited.
Now what of that exclusive Japanese boxset...

...there's still a few in stock, though they're running out.
Also, some other shops have them, though you have to figure out how to buy from them, which is not always easy.
I ordered a copy from Amazon.jp yesterday and it was marked as dispatched this morning.
A word of advice, even if you have an Amazon EU/US account you will need to create a dedicated Japanese one and set yourself up as an International customer.
Best of luck...
My brother are spending his vacation in Japan right now and he got two copies - one for me and the another one for a mate. What a luck! ![]()
Took me 30 minutes to create an account, but finally I've ordered. Couldn't find a link to the box set

At this stage, the box set is being exclusively sold at the Japanese concerts in May.
Some of us are hoping any leftovers make it to retail outlets or we'll be at the mercy of eBay re-sellers.
Even better, maybe some make it down to the Sydney gigs.
For the record (no pun intended) I've removed "SOLD OUT / DELETED" from the title of this thread because it was a tad misleading. Not intentionally I'm sure.
As of right now - 6th April 2016 - both Amazon Japan and HMV Japan have stock of this single. It's definitely not sold out or deleted.
Order 'em while you can folks.

The mix better be good. It's going to cost me over $40 when all is said and done!
Had forgotten it was revealed here.
Easy come, easy go...
Yeah, it's not that good TBH. Although it reminds me of the KLF a little bit ...And I would dance to it. I didn't realise it was getting a CD single release. But at that price, I'm not falling over myself to own the thing. It's on Youtube as well as Soundcloud now.

They don't usually stock vinyl. It may be an error on their site, but I'm OK if I end up with a 12".
I do get that 'minimal tech house' can be interesting if done well but I just don't think that Takkyu Ishino nailed it here. It simply sounds like a generic keyboard preset with vocal samples faded in here and there. Not the most imaginative effort. It reminds me of the Richie Hawtin Blue Monday-95 remix which I didn't take to either. Maybe it's not built for home/headphone listening but more on a huge sound system in a sweaty club at 2am. Dunno.
For me Tutti Frutti's best remix was undoubtedly Hot Chip followed by Hallo Halo which is also good. That said, I think the Hot Chip remix would be even better if they shaved 5 minutes off it a bit like the version on the UK 12".
For those not interested in purchasing this vinyl, the Takkyu Ishino remix is available digitally but again only in Japan. For some reason Mute opted to limit the release the Hi-Res version of Tutti Frutt to USA/Japan only so if you're in the UK or anywhere else in the world you'll have to get an international mate to buy it for you and Dropbox it over. UK/EU only got 44/16 FLAC.
It remains to be seen if they included a download coupon with the Japanese 12" and if it's accessible to those of us outside Japan.

Sorry folks for the misleading subject line, but it legitimately was listed as deleted on the HMV Japan site earlier this week. The site wouldn't allow further orders at the time. But yes, I see that it has since been restocked.
My copy, by the way, arrived in the mail today. It's quite nice. It was released on Mute proper, not their usual licensee, Traffic. It was manufactured in the EU for the Japanese market. It has its own unique catalog number: 12JMUTE542
There's a Discogs entry already for those that care. No hype sticker on the outside of the shrinkwrap. No download code.

I've tried to register on HMV Japan but the page won't translate for me and I've got no idea how to progress. I managed to get the item in my basket but that was about it. I've given up for the time being.

No download code! Sad news but good for my money.

I was having problems using the site with the Chrome browser. Once I switched to Internet Explorer, it worked. Somewhat odd, since I usually have the opposite problem.

Thanks. I've tried to use Internet Explorer, and it translates on the main page. I can see where to click to register as a new customer, but when the page changes it's all in Japanese again. *sigh*
Actually, I think I'm getting there, slowly but surely. Mainly by guess work. I can't believe the postage is more than the product itself. Looks like Amazon's cheaper actually. Only marginally though.
My 12" arrived today. Nice mix (I like a bit of acid, I do). Agree that it reminds me of the original 'Trance' KLF single versions.
Anyone know what the full tracklist is for the Japanese CD single with this mix on?

My 12" arrived today. There was a download code included with my copy on a small sticker at the bottom of the inner sleeve.
My 12" arrived on Friday. I'm impressed because I only ordered it from Amazon Japan on Wednesday so from dispatch to arrival in the UK the whole thing barely took 2 days. The fastest shipment from Japan I've ever had bar none.
I note with many people receiving their copies and Amazon JP/HMV still showing as In Stock this item may not become as rare as originally thought. That said, I'm not seeing any copies up for resale on Ebay yet.

Isn't the only current physical release format this 12"?
Digital via Soundcloud and the Japanese DD bundle.

Strange description. "new order" is not mentioned.
No tracklisting either.
When you read the description further it seems to be implying this is a "by request only" item.
You just wonder if someone's got their wires crossed with the 12". No other site seems to reference this CD release.
I've not unsealed mine yet but what does the code stickered in the sleeve include access to?
Do you get just the two remixes or the full Tutti package? Hi-res files or standard? Is it available to those outside of Japan?
Cheers.

Assuming the cd single is getting a separate release, the cd does include the Takkyu Ishino mix, according to http://trafficjpn.com/news/neworderlive/ (english translation from petersaville.info):
Wrapping Cloth “Furoshiki” Box Set (Cassette Album + Three CD Singles) To Be Sold Exclusively at the Venue of the Concert in Japan 25 May 2016 Contains: • Music Complete Cassette Album • Restless CD Single • Tutti Frutti CD Single (First appearance of Takkyu Ishino Remix on CD) • Singularity CD Single
Yesterday I received the 12". I tried to download the mp3 files from the code but it fails everytime. Anybody else have problems with downloads from the Japanese 12"?

I wonder if it will get a release outside of that box.
Doesn't appear to be on the radar of the other major Japanese sites.
