In response to the recent appreciation society (an underground uprising I might add) - for the song 'Rocking My Shacks'. I offer an alternative...

Here stands the 'Knock the Shacks' (Members Only) Club.

For those who daren't crawl from beneath the woodwork, be brave, come and join The Huntsman as we celebrate the appaling quality of the squawky nightmare that snuck onto our beloved 'Getting Things Ready' whilst Hooky was taking a shit.

'Down with the Shacks'! :rolling: 'Down with the Shacks!' :rolling:

Can I vote against Slower than Molasses Jam instead?

... now come on... don't be shy. :uhoh:

You mean I should just do it and not ask permission?

I thought you'd decided RTS was alright....

Slow Jam is far far worse

The Slowest Molasses Jamboree cannot be placed in the same category of 'Shacker' - 'Slow Jam' is a mediocre offering, whereas 'Root the Shoot' is a dogs worst offence on the cleanest carpet of hope.

I await backup with much excitement.

Rack the Shock may well be the highest musical achievement of the last 4,000 years.

Mr. Briggs sir your memory is first class - I would never bet against you should you take the challenge of memorising an average sized phone book for money.

When I was at a low ebb, I got confused and mistakenly embraced 'Shack Shoot' with open ears. It was a mistake god damn it, a mistake. Can a man not be human anymore? - My bird loves it, and sometimes I agree with her to salvage the day... however, when she isn't looking... I sneak into my own mind and secretly hate it with my other thoughts.

Hells teeth Patsy, there are 'other' places for lovers of the 'Rocking the Shack' song... I suggest that you leave before my legion of supporters turns against you. :uhoh:

F*** me, AJ Wells is alive and kicking.

That New Order, they're awful you know. Not like it was in my day.

Mum, can I please leave the bedroom now? I'm 42 and want to see the outside world.

Where is this world you talk so much about?

Have the 'keep the bird happy' technique right then. Pretend to like the things she likes until she leaves the room...and then slag it off behind her back

Nice one.

What exactly is so terrible about Wreck the Shark, Huntsy?

Its taken several years to encourage my bird to embrace the Order. Getting Things Ready captured her at the right moment, you see, she thought Crystal was excellent - and I managed to buy GR when we were both on holiday. As Crystal was 'accepted' I grabbed the opportunity to bring GR into the equation. We were doing a lot of driving and the album was on non-stop.

Unfortunately, she only really digs Crystal, Run Wild, Turn My Feet and the appaling Rock the Mice. Out of them, Rock the Mice is her fave...

Ask yourself this Briggsy, based on that, do you think its time for me to say, hey pet, Rock the Shack's shit. Think about it SB, it could bring an end to the empire. How then, answer me this, do I get the Order on in the front room in the future?

(just as I thought, not a single answer)

Got to www.soccernet.com, then choose the 'Europe' option. There's a whole wide world out there, it seems. :skeptic:

Huntsman`s moved house!!! (Can I come round?)

Pats, I must have thought of a million combinations of Rock the Shack and Wreck the Shark has just punished them all. :)

Okay the opening drums and guitar intro are first class - top dollar you could say. Verse is tedious, can't get my head around the Timbuktoo line... its just poor on a poor melody line. Barney's lyrics can work only if the melody tune is good enough. On this song, both are equally poor. The 'I believe in politics' section is good, but when followed by the chorus is spoilt. The chorus really grates on me.

Remember this though, this is the ONLY NO song I don't really, and I mean really love. For that reason alone, at least you know I'm being serious. :clown:

Dunno mate. sorry. Grow to appreciate RTS yourself, if you r anything like me you'll do anything to avoid argument.

Fortunate enough that me bird also likes the Order and has been a fan far longer than me. In fact, rather shockingly, my chat up line was 'Do you like New Order'. When she replied in the affirmative I tested her by asking 'Do you like Procession?'. When I realised she did, and knew what she was talking about I fell in love. Sad, but true.

Not speaking to you now AJ you big meanie. Been waiting all day to speak with you chickens and the second I find time to come on-line (after being out all day in the 'other' world) - and you treat me like a used bag of crisps.

This post has made enemies of the brothers I once loved. Where will it end?

Thank you, Huntsy, coming from you that's high praise.

Personally, I really like the guest vocalist's section.

Oooof, think I'd be scared if the Mrs liked the Order more than me. She's gonna squeeze in 16 gigs this year, but thankfully she can't even name any of the albums, bar Get Ready. Don't think she'd even heard of the band a year ago!

... well Seb your a lucky bastard alright. Any bitch that digs the Procession cuts the mustard in my book. If you've done her whilst listening to the Order you may as well top yourself whilst your ahead.

I do appreciate your 'do anything to avoid arguments' statement. I too elect to agree more than I should. For example, yesterday, she says... 'Huntsman (obviously, my home name as well)... would you like to go to see A.I. tomorrow' - I reply 'Erm, well Ritchie (a mate of mine in Saudi) has seen it a few months ago and said it was shite hawks'...

... 'Great, I'll get the tickets then'

C'mon now, we're all adults. You say tom-ay-toe, I say tom-ar-toe.

As Barney once said, on, erm, 'Rock Lobster' -- "That's just the way it is!"

Hey Huntsyboy-chicken, can I join your elite club of non-loving Choke The Shaft? As you can see from the 'other' posting about RTS I'm a non-believer too
