Whilst recording a tape for someone last night, I found to my amusement that the end of the tape contained a copy of the "interview" with Hooky and Barney by Tony The Greek on Picadilly Radio's "Last Radio Programme" at the time of Shellshock. Amongst the written questions they fielded was one from a "Mark Rutter" who asked Barney why he changed his name so often. JG ?

i've got a recording of Hooky standing in for Tony The Greek in 1990, just after One True Passion came out. He really struggled with it. Think he did a 2 hour show and just really didn't have much to say.

Must dig it out sometime, seem to remember him playing Iggy Pop and Stone Roses and a couple of Revenge tracks.

That's him all right. I was more interested in finding out if it had been our own Johnny Giles who had posted the question !

Oh dear. Just had an e-mail from Al Jarvis quoting this at me. Er..guilty as charged I'm afraid.

Technical point - twas a phone-in but I didn't get on air, just spoke with TTG, while a record was playing, who read me Q out later on.

Use to listen to this show every Sunday night when I should have been doing me homework, that shows how long ago it was. Can't believe it's over 16 years & finally come back to haunt me.

Good spot Sloppy.
