When the new album comes out (in about 2010) how do we want it to sound?

The rocky get ready sound? The acoustic pop technique sound? The Here to stay type thing sound?

or maybe a spoken word album featuring hooky on vocals and barney on glockenspiel?

a mixture of all three would be nice

I'm in agreement. A nice blend of all three would be great. But I think realistically, it will lean towards a more Get Ready sound. And I ain't complainin'! :D

i think they're doing quite well with the 'get ready sound', although a little more synth (like in technique) would be nice to hear. now that they've utilized the vocal stylings of billy corgan, i'd like to see a guest appearance from tony orlando on the next album, however.

Personally I'd prefer a return to Technique-sounding songs, with loadsa guitar and bass as well as electronic stuff. Sort of Brotherhood meets Technique halfway.

 I was also watching the performance from Big World Cafe where they played VP, R&R, Run & Dream Attack last night, and it sounded superb! I'll have some more of that, thank you very much:D

I am all for a more moody technique. Maybe blend Technique with PC&L? I love the stuff from PC&L, but I also LOVE Technique. I think they will stick with the guitarish sounds since the band is tired of one person programming the whole song while everyone else sits on their thumbs.

I hope it's like none of those. If they want to stay around they need to expand their legacy, not just extend it. I would love to hear something with a more complex and experimental production style, keeping the rocking drums, with Hooky out front where he belongs in the mix, and keeping the guitars, but with better lyrics, bringing back some of the depth and darkness of their earlier material. They're older and wiser, right ? I think they could still surprise us and I hope they at least try. I would have no use for another Technique, I already don't listen to that one.

'Behind Close Doors' was a progression of sorts, I'd like to hear something a little less 'cluttered', parts of Get Ready had the kitchen sink in. Whatever the next one sounds like lets hope Hooky stays high in the mix!

I just want a new album before I'm 50! Give me a variety of what they do best and show me what they are capable of and I'll be a happy girl...

Something NEW but still with loads of BASS will do.It is very hard not to be blinkered were this group is concerned.I still enjoy yhe VANISHING POINT time though but life and sounds move on.Whatever happens i just hope that they do something that THEY like so they will tour again. Then we can ALL meet up again. On second thoughts that could be your worst nightmare.Meeting ROCKET at TATTON COMMUNITY CENTRE with ATR telling us all to be quiet. :nonono: (he is recording!)

A DVD only album featuring...

Phil Cunningham as front man with barney taking to hiding behind a keyboard and hooky performing from a small stool. Then, halfway through the show steve's drumkit rises above the stage in a blaze of pyrotechnics and gillian appears from nowhere chopping a guitar to bits with a copy of Selfish pressed onto Titanium coated vinyl.

It could happen!

The new CD should sound like what the Chemicals did with their sound. More sequencers please!

Less guitars, por favore

Something more experimental, like PC&L, but with a production similar to that of the Chem Bross (but self-produced if possible).

Something else with a "Techniquey" feel updated with new technology would be great :), its probably one of their catchiest albums to date.
