Another example of a missed single opportunity would be Mr. Disco off Technique.
Tony Wilson has said that it was slated to be a single (US only?) but the closed minds at Warner Bros. wanted the title changed (disco was still a dirty word to them). New Order chose not to release the song as a single and all we got next was the wisely limited release of Run2.
I've often wondered if any mixes of Mr. Disco were done before the plug was pulled. The live version from the Technique tour certainly was a lot of fun.

I totally agree. I love Mr Disco to death. My mom even liked it, which is weird.
As for Close Range, fantastic. Better than Rock the Shack anyways.
