now that we are revisiting this poll i'm finding myself in a quandary. i originally chose pretty in pink but i'm now sitting on the fence, tipping toward 24HPP. it's just such a damn fine film. as is trainspotting. what a choice, what a choice.
am i indecisive? i can't decide.
Pretty In Pink easily wins - 24HPP was good though, but voting for a movie about NO with NO songs in it seems wierd. If you include 24HPP, you should include "The New Order Story" too.
I decided on Blade 'Confusion'. Of course there are better films in the list, there are better songs. But I thought this was the best USE of a New Order song in a film. And I had no idea I was listening to New Order at the time, in the scene where the nightclub gets all blood-frenzied. It was only after chatting to friends and we were all asking "what was the brilliant bangin' music in that scene?" that I was gobsmacked when I looked it up on the internet. I'm not a big fan of remixes (the originals nearly always hit the right mark first time) so I hadn't realised that was a Confusion remix from "Rest Of" which I hadn't played for years. Just goes to show I love New Order even when I don't know it's them. It was meant to be.
it's gotta be trainspotting. it's great how they introduced a NO lyric into the main dialogue.

The soundtrack album (the first one, with Temptation) is by far one of the best soundtracks I've ever run across. And seeing as my soundtrack collection consists of that and Rushmore, 24HPP, The Kids Are Alright, and Star Wars, that's saying a lot!
