Have exactly that on my wall too. Lovely.

i'm not going to find that poster,

so i'm recreating and printing my own.

however, i'm probably removing the joy division covers to make it more new order related to me.

its always bothered me on the 20 years of new order

had joy division on there, and things were out of order..

so i'm making the 40 years with the correct order, and no joy division.

i hope it turns out ok.

i know its 42 years, but that didn't sound as good...

Like it. Looks great so far. Mind you, if I were being really nit-picky I would want Brotherhood without any title on the front, and Low Life with the writing on the right side (and written the same as on the original album) Oh and PCL without the writing too.

Yes.

And since it's not really a 40 year span of albums, I'd suggest removing that text and adding Complete Music. Then all the Factory releases would be in the top two rows.

thank you both for your suggestions.

my problem was i didn't really want to include substance as a compilation, because then there would be many others too, best of, rest of, international, singles, etc ...

and complete music is a remix album, so thats why i didn't consider that.

yes, removing the text from all of them would be the way to go, but then waiting for the sirens call wouldn't work, etc, same with movement.

it gets tricky when trying to make all those decisions. i'm happy with it but, feel free to alter.

But... Sirens, Republic, Movement had writing as part of their original artwork. So you keep that. You just correct the ones above so that they're the same as the original sleeves. Innit!

2023 was a pretty good year for new order, with the substance deluxe and reissue of the singles, a tour also..

they came in 7 this year for me, collecting, up from 10th last year...

I've finally managed to get a decent rip of the "I've taken too much" dub. And it sounds pretty good to me, better than Morel's "Extra dub" and "Calling shifty dub".

Totally forgot the about the "My fear of dub" one, still on track.

Pretty unremarkable. Rich Morel doesn't even have a copy of it anymore.

Promo mixes can be regarded as thus: the fewer times it appears across formats, the less interesting it is.*

I'm sure Warners only stuck it out there because they'd paid for it.

* The exception being Martin Buttrich's 2005 remix of Everything's Gone Green. It's my favorite New Order remix ever, and criminal that it never saw a commercial release.
