Is 'International' out in the UK or what?

Well, my trip to the usually-efficient HMV this morning saw no trace of 'International'. No ads in the music press, no pre-release reviews. Is it actually out, or has yet another release date passed us by once more?

Nope - not in HMV, Virgin, or Tower Records.

The helpful people in HMV looked it up on their computer, and says that it's been put back to December 2nd!

I'm still unable to get an answer from Warner Music...

No wonder they can't release something on time..

HMV Portsmouth hadn't heard of it and couldn't find it on their screen. Virgin said try again next week.

Yep checked HMV's flagship store in Oxford St yesterday and Tower Records, not a dickybird....

However theres currently an import of Best Of starting with "Lets Go" in Tower Records for any unfulfilled completists out there.. Canadian i think.

what is the point, do you think, with all the different tracklistings and release times...? ... to drive and encourage Import orders of these records to the UK, Canada, and the USA? are potential imports that big a factor in the record companies plan??

They had in HMV Liverpool about 10 days ago.

I've seen it in various shops in Ireland over the last few weeks. Must have been import copies. I'd imagine it's easy enough to pick up one if you look hard enough and are prepared to fork out how ever many quid for a load of songs you already have :(

No, my edition is the same as the UK one and doesn't start with Let's Go.

Just spotted two copies of International on the shelves of MVC. Says "Made In Germany" on the back so it could be imported? Not that it will be any different to any "official" UK release. Different track-listings for different countries my arse....

£16.99 to non-members, £14.99 if you have an MVC card.

That's the American version i think. THe Canadian verison has that purple symbol, but the American one has a blue one, and that one has Lets Go, Love Vigilates, and Age of Consent.

Well, the Japanese edition is the 14-track version - no extra tracks, and the cut-down 'Low-life' version of 'Perfect Kiss'...

....Well, for all of you Transpotters.....I have 2 versions of the American 'Best of' ( the light blue symbol thingy ).

Both same discs, same track listings starting with 'Let's Go' ...but in the cover slicks, one has additional note 'Track 10 ( Run ) - written by New Order / John Denver' but the other one hasn't......i know it's trite trivial but which one came out first?....

Did Cherry Lane publishing ( owner of that Jetplane song )complained to Qwest after the initial copies of 'Best of' released without the acknowledgement from the court case verdict???

Well i bought the QWEST version alongside 6 other versions of BEST/REST OF in different formats and covers ALMOST immediately and you seem to be correct.Yes there is no credits to anyone other NEW ORDER for RUN 2.:D Cheers Rocket Mick

As far i am aware although some shops in LONDON have UK copies it is still not out yet NATIONALLY.It is not uncommon for a few places to have CDs that are NOT promos available for sale in LONDON before the OFFICIAL release date.I know of two shops that this happens! So does DON.
