I think I've missed the boat here.
Did this happen? - the Later with Jeff Holland gig? I mean, really, this is (or was) a New Order classic moment.
What gives?

I don' think so...
The new broadcasts are supposed to begin on the 12nd of oktober.
Other names scheduled : Pulup, Mercury Rev, The Beta Band, Spiritualized...
Some kind of Buster Klumpsy paradise...
... and Huntsman wonderland.
Later with Jools is one of the last bastions of 'real' music left today. Its the only place where you can catch decent bands singing decent stuff - not restricted to their current chart topper.
I'd be mortified if I'd missed it... I think the homepage must have had the date mixed up, it said 17th Oct. or some time near that. Nic The Blank must have got his faculties wrong... too busy picking his snout.
You know, Jools might consider you if he was to get his hands on the Temptation hit? - it's never too later Buster... its never too later with Jools Holland and his dancing cactus plants.
'Later' is indeed one of the only music shows worth watching. It doesn't stop Jools being a knob though.

First I should try to have some t-shirts printed... "Like A Doberman - The alternate Temptation from Belgium"

Now now!!! "The Tube" was good

Funny, I always thought Jools was a bit of a 'geezer'. Would be a good lad to have along at a dinner party in the sort-of Stephen Fry or Peter Cook mould. Would never run out of anecdotes to keep people entertained.
Wonder how many tracks they'll let the Order do?! Two's bog standard for that show, isn't it?
Didn't Electronic do it once?
I've seen 'The Jools Holland' band live, i.e. in the flesh... the whole shi-bang, about 250 band members on stage all playing the wrong things, at the wrong time, all at once. Think hundreds of children banging different kitchen implements simultaneously.
Quite frankly, the worst gig. I'd ever been to... and I've seen Ocean Colour Scene.
At one point me and my mates were considering storming the stage and cutting the band with bread knives. Belive me, death wasn't good enough for them.
Saying that - he's alright when he's not with his band. (does have ill-fitting clothes though).
he appears to be a geezer, but is in fact a bit of a berk. rilly rude to his support bands & a wee bit up himself. tube was top, he plays a mean joanna, later is ok til they get the rilly obscure gospel singers on, that program with roland rivron was kinda strange though.

I saw an Eternal/Boyzone gig once, and I'm sure even Joolsy + his boyz weren't as bad as that ![]()
You assume wrong.
Jools and the gang were equivalent to having teeth pulled... by an ostrich who's just been informed his mother's ill.
Fair enuff. The Boyzone thing was only the equivalent of having ones scrotum waxed...a far less painful thought.

To answer the original question - I was waiting for Mr Johnny Giles to fill us in as it was He who told Me, but he's a tad quiet this arvo - New Order are being recorded on October 16th. Presumably to go out on the 19th?!
"60mph" will presumably get an airing.
Wonder what else? (if anything?).
Jools Holland's show is an excellant format for live rock n roll. I have a Radiohead bootleg with an excellant version of the Bends (the song) from the show. Definitely gonna check it out when NO are on...
