On my Brand new substance CD I noticed a tiny click on the 0:52 second mark--is that part of the track and song or is it a skip on my CD?

The first time I put the BRAND NEW cd in and heard that track I noticed the click? Does anyone else notice this on the JD Substance CD?? It is around 0:52 when the song starts to build up and get fast.

Can someone help me out here?

I can't remember what track #8 is, but if it's Autosuggestion, I think it's supposed to sound like that (kind of like a record being dropped on the player and the needle clicks on it)

Actually it was DEAD SOULS--but the way you describe the sound--thats exactly how it is.

If it's Dead Souls that's skipping...I dunno. I gave away my copy of Subs when I got the box set, and I don't think Dead Souls is supposed to sound like it's skipping.

Okay, just checked at allmusic.com, Dead Souls is number 8. It shouldn't be skipping, but it does speed up a bit after a few seconds (kind of back-and-forth during the course of the song). Does it sound like it's starting back or caught on one note inparticular? Usually when I have a scratched disc it sounds like the disc is caught on something, resulting in a constant repeat of the posrion right at the beginning of the skip.

I picked my "Substance" CD manufactured in the early 90s to check this out. Yes, there is a tiny click on the left channel, but I never have noticed this before. I had to use headphones to hear it.

Spot this as well: "No Love Lost", 00:06-00:07. You can hear Ian's breath. ;)

I never noticed anything like that on my copy. Now I wish I still had it! (I gave it to my coz who loves JD, so it's in good hands)

Yep Ricardo I am using headphones a lot as I have been listening to JD's Substance.

But you did notice the skip in the left channel as well at approx. the 52 second mark right? I sure hope so :).

Yeah, my copy of JD's "Substance" has the skip in "Dead Souls" too. There's also one in "SLC" at 0:17.

NO's "Substance" has a few of errors too. In "Blue Monday" the sound kind of drops out into the left speaker at 2:25. One of the drum beats in "BLT" has a skip at 0:06. And "True Faith" has a skip at 1:12 and 2:18.

I noticed those skips too LOWLIFE. At first I thought they were because I got the CD USED--then I started to get suspicious when I saw the same type of skip on my BRAND NEW Substance JD cd.

There's also a blip on the JD Bains Douches CD. Track three I think, I'd have to play it again to check, but it's there!
