well...finally we got the originals of "Temptation" & "Confusion". Unfortunately no full length "Perfect Kiss". The remix-CD sounds more interesting than i expected, especially for the "Paradise"-remix and "Regret" (never heard this version before). The preview of the live-CD is amazing! Can't wait for the release!

BUT...what's the actual length of this "Regret" remix ??? the coverscan says 6:41 Min. but 12:49 says the comment beneath the audio file...

Well after perviewing some of the remix and live stuff I just may have to buy his thing.

There was a comment on "another site" that the recording of TPK on the live disc is mislabeled and is actually from the Glasto '87 gig. I hope this isn't the case.

I can't check out the samples for a couple of days, so can anyone clear this up?

The live version from the video is on the bonus disc, not on the basic 4 discs set.. it's indeed the Glastonbury version on the live disc.

If the version of TPK on the Live disc is actually from Glasto '87, then the tracklisting given out for Retro is in error. It states that TPK on the Live disc is from Fulcrum Centre, Slough 7 Dec 1985.

Also, is it the extended TBTHOG or the 7"?

I also had some "surprises" from the official tracklisting on another site.. This Time of Night is now Elegia, and Chosen Time is gone from Disc #2 and replaced by Let's Go.. and the order is a little different.

Is the promo outdated? or is the list of what we got outdated? I don't know...

Since Elegia is listed correctly, I was thinking that the TPK listing is correct too. The running times seem to be a little different (10:07 on the BBC Glasto CD vs. 9:43 on Retro), but that doesn't mean anything.

I was hoping for a version of TPK that we didn't have. And according to our friend Benny, TPK at Slough '85 was likely one of the best performances of this tune the band ever put together.

It doesn't make sense that they would bother w/ the BBC (or Windsong) in order to release the Glasto '87 version of TPK, when they have plenty of other live recordings of TPK to choose from.

isn't that NO does best? Piss off the masses with little things like this...hell, someday we'll all look back in our collection and remember with fondness all the hoopla surrounding this...I remember when one of the joys of a new NO release was actually FINDING the mistakes and errors in the printed or mastering process. But now that we are able to discover this stuff beforehand seems to be taking that joy away...

Having listened to the samples Nic posted online, and my originals of Slough, Sunderland and Glasto, I think that Procession does indeed come from Sunderland rather than CLP, and the Perfect Kiss comes from Slough rather than Glasto. Then again, what do I know ?
