How many of you have tried to share your love with JD/NO and found it hard to convey that to someone you just knew would appreciate their rich musical legacy if they just tried? Share the pain of rejection.......

I have lost count the ammount of times i have tried to convince my friends that my musical tastes are clearly superior to theirs. Im still waiting for the break through. I have managed to convince my friend that Duran Duran rock, but im still working on the JD/NO thing....i'll get there, i never give up...onward and upward....

For every one I have 'enlightened' over the years there are dozens more who just don't get it. My wife of ten years for example, she says to me tonight when I mentioned the Glasgow shows were less than two weeks away, 'I hope you don't think i'm coming with you again, apart from the one where they slapped each other in the video and the one with David Hasselhoff in it, they're just rubbish, not charty at all'!! I thank my lucky stars every day that she's beautiful, intelligent and earns an awful lot of money!!![]()
There's a trendy little coffee house down the road, and the juke box has the Best Of album in it. Its funny to see little 15 year olds dancing along to Age of Consent, or Vanishing Point. One time, I put in Regret, and I noticed a girl of about 20 or so singing softly along...Anyhow to put a long story short, we are sort of seeing eachother now. So that's nice.
I'm not so sure i'd like people with pop sensibilities getting into the Order though, i'd rather it was folks who took their music a little more seriously that found enlightenment in what we hold to be special.![]()
