Seeing as how SHOUTIN' Paul could only be 15 at the time, I'm guessing perhaps (1) the smiley happy fella in the vest, or (2) the wedgehead directly north of Barney's fists who looks like he's gonna sneeze, or maybe (3) the tiny owl-eyed fella crushed in behind the bloke in the hat in the front row (and with the Jez Kerr looky-likey in the black shirt to his left).
well i shall put you out your misery.....see the caption on the top left...16,hull....below that is a bloke with a terrible haircut and big snozzer...i am directly below him...( well half of me )...with my hands on someones head...
al..was this an old record mirror or no1 magazine...???
memories,memories...thanks mr.j...
p.s..i dont shout that much now!!!!
That looks horribly like me Paul !! Left hand visible as though picking nose......
Do you mean below on the photo, or directly in front of in terms of where stood ? I'm pretty sure the person only half-on the edge of the picture with left hand visible by face is me ! If I've read your message correctly, you were stood/crammed in next to me !
i was at that gig too was wandering round hull in the afternoon (miserable place) when we came across bernard sumner in a back street by chance we then later saw him playing with some kids in a fountain, splashing them with water and to top it off just as he left he pushed one of them right in !!

How many gigs have you racked up Paul? seems like you've been to everything from '84 - '88.

Your brother must've done some numbers, seeing as how he was into them before you too!!

Got them all on tape Paul ? If not, let me know.
Originally posted by The Hacienda must be (re)Built Benjamin, had any luck transfering your tapes to cd yet ?
None whatsoever. Managed to chew up one in the process as well. I'm going to buy Cool Edit as soon as I get paid I think. Getting rather frustrated with it now - may be in my interests to get someone else to do them for me in return for a free copy....

i used to get alot of my tapes from a guy in liverpool..i had lots....but whem i moved house they never came with me....big mistake i now realise...
it would be really nice to hear some copies of the 85 and 86 gigs....this guy from liverpool..( forget his name )...used to send me tapes that were mostly mixing desk quality so i suppose he knew somebody who was part of "the team "...

my bro being 4 years older than me has done most of the above mentioned gigs plus lots of the 83 tour...
he was a bit of a punk in his early days but saw joy division about 4 times and they "claimed" him...
the chances of him gigging now are pretty slim...( married 2 kids etc etc )...but i keep him up to speed when i see him....( although hes not that interested now )
