Which song from Get Ready will still be part of the setlist in an eventual new tour?

I was watching the Finsbury Park DVD, and I've notice, Technique wasn't present at all, and only Regret was the only song off Republic played.

Ruined in a Day was in the setlist at the beginning of the tour, but was dropped.

Seeing they played Crystal, Close Range, 60 Miles An Hour at each and every concerts of the Get Ready tour, which one will survive the next tour?

My guess is Crystal of course, but well, any ideas?

Yes, i agree with Crystal. Maybe 60 mph, 'cos both were singles but i still haven't given up with "Primitive Notion".

I would love to hear them try Primitive Notion...in my opinion better than both Crystal and Regret. Vintage sound. Easily the best thing since Technique.

I think they should drop 60 MaH. BLT, True Faith, Blue Monday, Touched and Close Range and start all over. They don't have long left and we NEED to hear those songs again. Someone should start putting small signs near the farm with song titles on them. Dropping hints like: PROCESSION? or SOONER THAN YOU THINK? or PRIMITIVE NOTION? ...maybe they'd get the hint. Just one a week.

Apparently they had rehearsed Here To Stay, but didn't think enough of it to take it out live. Legendary perversity, I think they call it. Best way to promote the new single is to not play it !

Crystal will be around for donkey's years, I fear.

i'm sure we'll be hearing crystal until the boys are in their 70s, up on stage with their IV poles and colostomy bags.

crystal, but close range would do it for me

I would be great if they pulled Primitive Notion out, even Vicious Streak.

I think Crystal, 60mph and Close Range will all stay. They're more likely to drop the likes of Love Vigilantes and Your Silent Face in favour of newer tracks, IMO. Much in the same way as Isolation and Touched have been similarly phased out.

Crystal for definite. I hope close range doesn't stay, it's a good song but it sounds very messy live.

I too think Crystal is here to stay (pun intended). I would love to hear Primitive Notion live, but from a trainspotter's perspective this would be difficult due to the two simultanouus Hooky basslines. Maybe cloning technology will have advanced enough by the next tour, who knows. CTB :bear:

Wonder if Gillian will re-join the band for any future tours...

Doubtful. She's collaborating with Ja Rule now.

I dunno - there's sufficient evidence that they are starting to listen to what people think and say at long last, and I'm reasonably optimistic that certain old tunes will reappear. Personally I can't see 60mph surviving, and the jury's out on Close Range. Hopefully Brutal, Atmosphere, SLC and Digital will be consigned to "occasional" slots instead.

I say they should call the next tour "Retro" and just have songs from the '81-'89 era (perhaps ONE JD song as an encore). And play something other than "BM" "BLT" and "True Faith".

But what are the chances of that happening?

More chance of Barney coming on here and telling us which one is "Cries and Whispers" and which one is "Mesh" !!

true dat...they gotta drop the old list and start anew. i wouldn't mind if they kept TBTHOG though...how about THIS TIME OF NIGHT or ANGEL DUST or DREAM ATTACK..that would be nice.

Simple reason why they won't play them - they'd have to re-program them first, as the technology they use has moved on rather a long way since they originally did them in the mid 80s.

So instead, it's Rock The Shack all the way.

I AGREE WITH CHUCKLES START AFRESH BRING INSOME AGE OF CONSENT,AS IT IS IS WHEN IT WAS,LOVELESS OR EVEN THIS TIME OF NIGHT AFTER ALL THEY HAVE STILL GOT THE TECHNOLOGY TO PLAY JD SONGS BUT NOT COMPLAINING WHATEVER THEY PLAY IT WILL STILL SOUND BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE

Jimmy can we have our ladders back anytime soon? You've had them since 1988.

I'm with everyone else who said they havnae given up on Primitive Notion:nod: erm, I agree with Big Al as well, I can still see Close Range, Crystal and 60 mph being kept in the set. But instead of this bollocks with WIFM...please go back to Rock The Shack or Slow Jam......please:D
