I just heard the 12" of TBTHOG for the first time, and all I have to say is Damn! This song is awesome! I liked it before, but the 12" pushes it WAY over the edge.

it's similar to the one on the best of...except for a little variations here and there. not bad, i like this song no matter what version it is.
wasn't that fond of the song until maybe a year or so ago. then it grew on me like a wart. 12" is super-duper and i love the song now. dancy goodness all around.

No, I have the Salvation soundtrack and both Best Of's, and it is totally different.

), and from what i remember, it's pretty similar.
The 12" was the first version I ever heard - kudos to the DJ who played it - and I immediately fell in love with it. It was back when I was just discovering New Order, so this may have been the 7th or 8th song I had heard by them. I bought "Best Of New Order" in hopes of getting this version, only to find a severly edited version. I ended up finding the Blue Monday '88 12" at my college radio station, stole that and copied the vinyl copy of the song to tape.
Listening to any other edited version of TbtHoG is like listening to a chopped up version "The Perfect Kiss". New Order is one band whose 12"s are the real deal.
