This time next week some of us shall be in Mancland, just hours away from seeing the Mighty Order on home turf. :D

Just wondering: Who from this Forum is gonna be Where?!

I'm a v.sad man, and am doing all seven.

Anyone Else?!

I unfortunately missed the nearest tickets to my home and am going to Brixton instead on the 11th. If you see a 6'2" handsome chap with longish hair and an attractive brunette it could just be me.

I shall be at Brixton on the 12th...that is...if our beloved president will allow us on international flights...I'll be the very sleepy one suffering from jet lag...just pop me upside the head and I might even say something witty...

Me and Hooky Monster will be at both Manc gigs and then me, him, and two of my mates are coming with us to Brixton...

Can't wait, am weeing my knickers at the thought of it all....

I'm heading for the something Cottage? Apparently it's the pub which backs onto the Apollo?

In the early 80's when I first got into the Order I used to hear the records, then hear bootleg live tapes and think... why is this band so fucking amazing on record and so wildly shit live. Anyway me and a couple of pals went to see them live and I then thought, mmm, how come they can't replicate the awesome live sound in a recording.

Seeing them live is just like old times Jarvo... lets just be thankful we can all re-live our lives... if only for a few hours, well, in your case... for several nights.

Hey Allen, might see you in there at some point then.

As for New Order not having it live. I saw them for the first time at the recent-ish Loonypool gig, and man did they rock, they were fookin out of this world

i still can't believe i've gone all this time without seeing them live before, and in the space of 3 or 4 months, I will have seen them 4 times

Amazing thing that first attracted me to the live experience was the audience themselves. I mean, how many other crowds have you ever been in where they even sing the basslines? Like the first time your old man takes you to footie as a kid and you spend more time watching the terraces than you do the game cos they're so much more mesmerising, and you think, 'I want to be part of this'!

Fucking spot on Jarvo. The New Order live experience is just that, an 'Experience'... none of this sit down and listen to some fucker singin perfectly in tune to a backing DAT tape shite. I'm just hoping the crowd are going to be as rowdy as ever. I wonder how many hardcore fans will come out, whether or not they have left their roots over the years. I'm sure Republic softened the fan-base slightly.

Any idea how to get to the Apollo from North of Manchester?

Er, only done the Apollo once - July 98! - and caught a cab there from Dry 201. Seem to remember it was a right schlep though. Caught a bus back into town after, but I can't remember much about that to be honest.

Cheers Jarvo - so that's get to Manchester, get pissed, mooch about until we bump into a bus or train... grab a pizza and chis, some more drinks.... head towards a birght light and hope its where NO are playing?

... mmmm.... I might get my mate to use his legendary Auto Router software which he's always banging on about. Mind you, the last time he printed me directions from it to Manchester Airport we ended up in Leeds City Centre?!!!

Will be interesting to see if they do the same set at both nights? Or attempt to vary it a bit? I mean, Phil's learned 17 songs now, and they've obviously added Transvision Vamp to his repertoire as well, so gives 'em more scope to chope and change a bit. My one worry is that they're trying to be all 'professional' these days, so we might - sadly - just get the same tracks night in, night out. Would I not be happy with that! :nonono:

To further help identify me at Brixton on the 11th if they play Rocking on Smack I'll have my brunettes fingers in my ears.
