  • The early version (circa 82) with mostly drum and bass 8 (27%)

  • The 20-some odd minute Prime 586 4 (13%)

I've heard the live early version and like it, they should play more stripped down earlier stuff in their next tour

I agree, but skip the 1:45 intro.

Isn't there an early version on Fact 56 from 1981? I thought it played out the end of the video. Or was that Taras Shevenko? Used to have Fact 56, but lost it when I got divorced.

I love the peel sessions version from '82. I'm guessing that's what you mean by drum n'bass '82 version. right?

Considering the bootleg MP3 i've heard is from around that time, then yes sir, it is

The best version -- and a NO classic -- is the Peel Session version (1982). Somehow it always ends up on one of my NO best song cd-r's. Love the Moroder sequencer and that whipping beat.

Like 'em all, but the PCL take is my fave :) - the peel session version is a bit too minimalist, and the video 586 single rambles too much.

the PC&L version is my favorite (New Order song), but Video 5 8 6 is pretty mind-blowing.
