Just an idea, but would anyone be interested in organizing some sort of big NOOL event somewhere in North America? I'm thinking a night of dj's spinning our favorite NO/JD related tunes, cover bands, beers, etc. There's a club that does a New Order party occasionally in DC, but I thought it would be kinda cool to have a larger scale party with members of NOOL attending.

what about in Seattle during the United vs Celtic match? i have the connections to get a club reserved for that night and all the vinyl/cd's/equipment to use...would be a piece of cake...late July...

I've always wanted to have some kind of get together...but most of us are so spread apart. What about Chicago or Detroit? If only because they are the only major cities near me.

Why Nick, are you encouraging underage drinking? :nono: Actually it is more fun to drink when you're legally not supposed to, so you've got something there....

I would love to see some kind of big event here in the next few months, it would have to involve some time when I'm not in school (spring break, perhaps?) and I can get some time off (about a week or so).

I suggest holding it during summer especially, as I think most people love to travel during the summer months. I'm game for anywhere in the continental US, but I'd prefer something close to the Eastern Seaboard.

See similar thread about a U.S. get-together: http://neworderonline.com/thread.asp?action=&thread_id=6934&forum_id=8 Seems some of our mates from the UK will be in Seattle this July. Maybe we should shoot for then?? Seattle is not too bad a journey from TX. Im sure Happy One and Mike McDermott(fellow Texans) would be up for it.

Seattle, eh? As long as there aren't any depressing grunge-posuers to ruin our festivities.

Gurnge dude: Man, I can't believe Nirvana put out a "best of". They totally sold out.

Me: Shut up and give me my beer, lame-ass.

Grunge Dude: Oh, sorry. I've been stoned since '96......

Windsor? Toronto?

I'm on the east coast so anything on the east would be good for me, unless we created something huge, then I would be willing to travel. I've never been anywhere in Canada or seattle, I wouldn't mind going to those places.

We could possible do separate east coast, west coast events. Do you guys think organizing something like this is possible?

You certainly can matey, it's gonna be great if it all works out, I'll bring you that Scotland top I promised you at Finsbury, instead of that horrible English thing you bought;) Get in touch with April and the rest of the lads you know from the site, and see who can make it.

Should I start a seperate thread for a rollcall? Anyone interested can post where they live.

Ah, underage drinking.. the legal age limit here is 18, but if you can find anyone that didn't start around 15.. if not earlier...!

So it's not underage since she's Canadian!!

I would suggest Montreal, but many of you would freak because everyone speaks french ;)

Toronto is central, which helps a lot.. I sure can't go to Seattle with my car, which can be done with Toronto...
