Went and saw Interpol last night in Boston. Man are they good. Swear it looked like ian curtis singing up there. Sweet band, very tight live, was very impressed.
So I swear I saw Ian Curtis Sing Last night..

Anyone heard "80's matchbox b-line disaster" ? ( i think that's their name!)
My brother played me a track off their album, it sounded a lot like shadowplay...
just when in the hell are interpol gonna get off their pretentious asses and come over to the west coast? all their dates have been mostly in NYC, too. they should know that they have a pretty huge following and could easily sell out in la or san francisco. i guess im just jealous that theyre going back to europe instead of near my neck of the woods. and i agree with the ian curtis assumption. its eerie.
Just a note about "Shadowplay": I found a crappy-looking novel at the old books sale at my local library today titled Shadow Play. It seemed like your standard "if Stephen King can write Horror so can I" sort of Gothic tale, judging from the notes. i realize it's dodgy, but could Ian have snatched the title from that (without hopefully reading the lousy thing)? ![]()
It was published in 1975, so it's not outside the realm of possibility
