I've closed the poll. The story is the following: Temptation wins with 56 votes on 206 -- so that means that even though it gets the majority of votes, this is not an absolute majority. Therefore, New Order fans have very various tastes and opinions on their favorite New Order songs!

This is not bad by itself. It means that New Order produces quality music.

Also, it means that the band should re-instate The Perfect Kiss in their next gigs' setlists because it came second, very close to Temptation.

Agreed about reinstating The Perfect Kiss, ONLY if they don't water it down (ie TBTHOG, True Faith, BLT)

I agree that is possibly their best song by far. Even though True Faith is my favorite, I need to be in a certain mood for it, and I only like the original and The Morning Sun mix. Temptation, on the other hand, with it's many different versions, you can rarely get sick of. One of the greatest pop songs ever written. Period.

Temptation truly deserved to win i think everyone on here can agree that its stood the test of time and despite being 20 years old still can kick ass and create the biggest singalong of a concert to this day :D

And of course its 'Barneys song' he did it all on his own.... ;)

Having spent well over 15 quid at the weekend, for all the music magazines and their reviews of RETRO. There were a couple of great reviews, and one in particular agrees that Temptation is THE song that still makes a difference!

Mind, we did do this a year ago - though obviously it wasn't done quite so methodically - and Temptation DID win then, with Perfect Kiss then joint second (I think?) with Ceremony.

Give it another year, and I'm sure the results will be the same!

Personally I would not vote for either TPK or Temptation. My vote would be between EGG, Ceremony, and Procession with Procession probably eeking it out in the end. I am really shocked that there was that many people who would put TPK over these four songs... my 3 I listed plus Temptation I mean. I was pulling for Procession.
