Just picked up a copy of the latest 'City Life' a fortnightly local magazine about everything Manchester! It contains an interview with the band on Retro, 24 HPP and the latest album project. Highlights are:-
Hooky on Retro: "I think the best thing is it sounds like a set of car tapes made by a mate. You wouldn't have chosen the same songs or put 'em in the same order, but they actually work very well. My favourite is the bonus disk that comes with the first 3,000 box-sets, because it's just a really weird collection of tracks"
24 HPP: Nothing new really they havn't quoted before, except commenting on watching Ian's death which they said they all found disturbing experiencing it for the first time visually. On a lighter note they also said watching 24 HPP made us realise what a great band we were!
Bernard on the new album: "We've just started work on the next album and it's going quite well. The first week's always a bit tricky but we seem to have got into full flow now. The only thing I'm dreading is writing the lyrics. Why? I think I've already said everything I want to say to the world. Twice over"
General jist from Hooky on the new album is everybody is laid back and relaxed and we've got a few good ideas up and running!
