Well, I have to ask this...

http://www.neworderonline.com/album.asp?release_id=302

Do you consider this as a COVER of Everything's Gone Green by the Advent or as a New Order single remixed by The Advent ??

Well, we all those those are crappy and in the spirit of the 1995 remixes, they have nothing to claim from the original, but still, the story says they have been done for the "rest of"..

Would you consider this as a cover album, or as a single of mixes released by The Advent..?

This is a discography nightmare

Right now I put them in the New Order singles basically because the Pump Panel remixes that were out on CD single in 1995 are considered as well as a New Order single...!

A lot of time to waste for crappy stuff, but well, if you want to have the best database as possible :thumb:

Alright.. off to bed!

i guess they were released on a separate CD-single. i discovered a few of them on germany eBay but never dared to buy any of those because they are indeed CRAP! i also remember to have read that the cassette or vinyl-versions of the "Rest Of"-album had one of the mixes on it...

Cisco Ferreira (a Portuguese name, easy to remember for me), the man behind The Advent, went to Brazil this year, DJing in a couple of clubs. I recall an interview on the radio where Cisco has been introduced as a DJ and his work on "Everything's Gone Green" has been clearly described as a remix.

I think this remix is crap too, by the way.

So, so remix it will be ;)

It's not different than Paul Van Dyk's album with Spooky and Armand Van Helden's album with BLT...

I would forget about it. It says that they were done for "Rest Of" which probably means that they are total crap like the rest of "Rest Of". Although, maybe the mixes were good, so they didn't want to include them because it would further magnify the full on blowfest of the other songs.

As I already said in other threads, there is only 3 bad remixes on the Rest Of album... BLT, AOC & Confusion... and the last one managed to be a club hit nevertheless...

I think it's really the BLT remix that everyone thinks of and hates.

I have the new Razormaid NO disc, but haven't listened to it yet. The Razormaid site is temporarily down due to a switch in their web site host. I understand that they will be up and running again after 1/1/03. I'll post a quick review of the new Razormaid remixes/re-edits soon.
