well santa not only brought me a DVD player i also got the F Park gig to go with it...am i right in thinking that Barney is reading the lyrics to YSF off a monitor???....although i guess he's hit middle age and the old memory isn't what it used to be!!

It's not just YSF either, he reads most of the lyrics off of there......a mixture of too much drugs and old age
Barney is a living proof that ecstasy can cause brain damage and memory loss. 
You can see him reading his own lyrics off a monitor on "3 16" as well.

I went to a "duelling pianos" show in Vegas last Christmas. These guys know the lyrics and music to almost anything you through at them, including rather bizzarely "Girls & Boys" by Blur! Thought about the old Barnmeister and his autocue for his own lyrics as I watched them. Lazy bastard!
most gigs i went to in the 80s the barnster either forgot,made up or left out most of the words to most of the songs....much more fun...

I´m speachless! 
Bernard is known to be, like me, unable to sing and play an instrument at the same moment. Hence why you never see him play guitar and sing at the same moment.
But seriously, we might know most of the lyrics, but well, I'm sure he doesn't need it for Blue Monday or Temptation, but for the other ones, he seems to need a little help.
You can clearly see him inventing lyrics on Rock The Shack on the Lamacq Sessions.. "It cuts me down just like a tree" if I remember right?
what are you all on about. he's not reading lyrics, he is watching stars in your eyes. it was a sunday nite and he never mises blind date which is another favorite of his so he takes his telly if he's playing and he's programs are on.:)
That autocue was very useful in Paris back in May, as I could see the title of each track before it was played from where I was stood, so knew I had won the sweep ! (Being the first gig of the summer few, nobody knew exactly what the set was going to be, just knew that 15 or so songs would be the same as the previous year)

Nah, this seems to be an extra line he'd purposely added beforehand - he sang it at every live gig too, thus delaying the chorus by an extra line every time. .

so where did they play in paris in may? i take you were there. may 2002?? i didnt know they were there as i was only there back in the november. then they played at the olympia, did you go to that benny?

i didnt think they played back in may, might be a miss print on the audio disco or my eyes were playing tricks on me in me old age. bernard did apoligise to the french audenice for not playing in paris for 13 years or something like that...

Well if they didn't play there, me, Jarvo, JG, JS, Liv, Kezzie, Hibster and gawd knows how many others imagined it, and also didn't take the vast amount of photos we did.......trust me, they played there in May 02. Barney always apologises to the French. Review of Paris 26/5/02 show

Yeah, twas a good gig - and a decent weekend away. Think there was more English over for the Olympia gigs, Melanie, but certainly a lot more NOOL'ers for the Zenith show. 'ave it!
