yes he is a fat funny man, i was there at the paris gig so i'm glad its on there to remind me of it. though they should of played the crystal from it cos it was a blinder, bs really had his guitar cranked up for it and a good vocal compared to the other live version. good gig, nice cosy venue, only wish they played it boxing nite...

I'm sure he's introduced New Order as 'Blue Monday!' before too... .
And maybe as 'True Faith', not sure?
Got VIP treatment down at the Hurricane this summer and, other than the usual suspects (ATR, Johnny G, etc), New Order's only other guest was Sir Wise, and he was listed as Bernard's PA! (He didn't show, mind although it did have Alan Wise PLUS SIX on their guestlist!).
Great stories about Alan can be heard from 80-gigs John who's on the 5 11 DVD.
Our John got stranded after one of the Liverpool gigs in '86 & Alan Wise gave him a ride home, even stopped off on the way to buy him some chips. Then there's all the Nico tales.......
Favourite Wise Intro would have to be Reading 89......Has Jeff The Chef been released from Strangeways?

I think the "plus six" was there to cover The Good Doctor's considerable bulk......
I love his intros, and I'd miss him if he stopped doing it. His reputation seems a bit dodgy, tho': note the tone of utter disgust on that Carol Morley film ("The Drinking Years") when everyone recalls hearing about her knocking off Alan: seems you can shag every bloke and his Alsation in Manc and its OK, but put out for Alan Wise and yer name's dirt!!!
