¿Only a coincidence? In a spanish interwiew published last week Peter Hook said that this "old affair" wasn't important at all for him. He liked The Cure very much...¿what do you think?

The interwiew was published in a free musical magazine very popular in Spain. It's called MONDO SONORO.

i'd rather say it's an "All the way vs. Just Like Heaven"-case.

More or less...it's not an easy election: I prefer All the Way.

Seconded. :thumb:

And Depeche Mode.

And the Pet Shop Boys.

Why (oh why, oh why) their names keep appearing on this board, I don't know. :nonono:

I'll let the Ultravox thing go... I can see no one is ready for that jump... heck, I don't even know if I can make that jump. See the last page of the Ceremony thread for more info.

Well, I have nothing against the Cure...I just couldn't get into them after that one album with "The 13th" and "Mint Car"...

Also, the Cure have changed their bass sound over the years...whereas NO still has Hooky's awesome signature bass-playing sound.

I would agree, they did regain some quality ground on Bloodflowers... not exactly the good ole' days of Seventeen Seconds, but getting better.
