My favourite song off the Movement album, yes even better than Dreams Never End. Very dark and haunting. If re-recorded with better production and sound quality could well be a cult classic.

Can anyone confirm whether it's Hooky or Barney who sings along with Gillian?

I really like this too, that and Chosen Time are my faves off Movement

I always thought it was Hooky, but what do I know? I have to settle for Region 1 DVDs

It is in fact Hooky on Dreams and a couple others from the Movement LP. However, live, Barney does all except for Dreans Never End...still the Hookynater! As seen on Taras Schevenko and Academy.

Not quite. Hooky sang "Doubts Even Here" live as well as on record.

On the few occasions they played it live, back in 1981, it was often the set opener. There's one show (Nottingham I think), where the audience think it's The Eternal or something at the start, and get very enthusiastic for a few seconds !!!!

Class song, very 'Closer' in style which suits me just fine as I prefer my NO serious rather than poppy/dancey. Certainly sung by Hooky, both live and on record. I always get the feeling that Hooky is a lot more fond of the early 'dark' period than Barney is.

My fave Movement song. Sung by Hooky and Gillian, indeed. Way better than the much overrated Dreams Never End, imho.

Absolute class. It does it's job very effectively. And Chunks - what were the other Hooky songs on Movement? Aside from DNE and DEH they all sound like Barney to me.

Indeed. I'm quite sure Hooky only sang those two songs. The rest is a Bernard Sumner Vocal Performance.

Count me in. This has always been one of my faves off Movement, and one of the reasons I can never bash it with quite the gusto that it sometimes comes under.
