Don't mean to seem unappreciative of all of NO's great "closers", but none will ever be as meaningful to me as when Electronic's "Raise The Pressure" ended with "Time Will Tell". I had to pull the damned car over to the side of the road when I heard that for the first time! What a beautiful, bittersweet ending to an album so full of hope!
i think 'every little counts' is silly and fun, and they obviously had a lot of fun recording it due to all barney's laughing (at the wonky lyrics)...a perfect ending to what is, this week, my favourite album by NO (alternating now between this, low-life and PC&L)!

Have to agree, Agent
Would be great if they recorded a version not unlike BBC Radio 1 version w/ Barney's imprompu guitar part ![]()

ahh! i'm so sorry! i didn't know that. sorry about that. :(
I like "Every Little Counts" as the ending track to "Brotherhood"...it's the icing on the cake for me. :)

Face Up does end Low-Life. Added bonus tracks on cassettes etc don't count !

Dream Attack - ther perfect way to end their finest album.
Worthy of mention: Avalanche by The Other Two ;)

Doh! worth a try! i'll always try and get a gripe in about LL cassette having 4 yes count em! 4 versions of PK on it ;)

yes, it was. by "album closer" i meant the final track on an album.
LMA easily - but my favorite closer is actually a side A closer. It would be Sunrise for sure - I had it on tape first. That would win over LMA, but since we are in the age of CD's, it goes to LMA.

Yeah, it was done, but that time it included JD LPs too, so Decades was probably always gonna take quite a few votes of the NO stuff. I voted "Denial" then and am staying the same this time.
This is annoying me. i bought brotherhood on Cd the other week and the album closeris actually State Of The Nation. Is that why it only cost me £4.99??
The first time I heard "Face Up" closing off "Low-Life" I was disappointed, because I expected a more introspective closer. However soon I grew to love it because it is so positive, yet strangely emotional. It always makes me think of Ian Curtis "Oh how I cannot bear the thought of you/We were young and were pure/And life was just an open door"
A close second would be ELC because it has a similar effect on "Brotherhood".
Face Up, Leave Me Alone, and Run Wild running 1-2-3. Face Up and Leave Me Alone are a big challenge --- I just love Face up though think its one of my top five NO tracks
