I just got a copy of the Canadian version of NewOrderStory that someone burn onto a DVD for me. I already owned the US version. I cannot believe how much the US version cut out! The Canadian version had over an hour more material on it.
I really enjoyed this version, it felt like I was watching it for the first time.

Where do I start? So many things.
Most of the videos (ceremony. temptation, blue monday +) were cut down to be about 30 sec clips
Most all the interview were shortened
The live performance at the Montreux Jazz Fest ( forgive me If I didn't spell that right) were cut out completly
The US version is about 60 mins. The canadian version is like 140
Yeah, the US release was chopped up pretty good. Oddly enough, they did add the video for Run2.
Run2 is one of my favorite videos of all time!
I love the simplicity and childlike optimism of the visuals...
just had to get that off my chest...

The US version had the Video for Regret also
i think the full version of new order story is 2 hours and 20 mins, yet mine has the regret from totp, but doesn't have the run 2 video from what ive seen there are 3 versions of neworderstory 60 min 90 min 180 min
All i know is it goes on for bloody ages!
A DVD with chapters would be nice ;) plus outtakes from the interviews, the gameshow, demo sessions, footage from Ibiza Technique, am i asking too much ?
Why in the name of all that is holy has this not been released in its full version here in the States?
Does Warner and London Records enjoy fucking with us American fans? Is it our women you envy, LR? Our food? Our abundant supplies of hairy nipples? WHAT?
I realize we Americans have everything (well not really, but just follow me on this one) but we don't have the full version of NO Story, and it's a fucking travesty!
Sorry....mild rant on my part, I should just bite the bullet and search for a Canadien-style NO Story....
actually my 2hr. + version has japanese subtitles at the bottom and i think the copy was made from a laserdisc so it probably is from japan

Is this a DVD, laserdisc, or VHS? Also, would you be interested in a never-viewed copy of the Brit version (Muffy, I love ya man, but I ain't gonna be getting the right technology to view this anytime soon)

This is indeed weird.. why Americans always get the small package, and that Canadians get the full monty :D
Seriously... NewOrderStory, Finsbury, etc.
But on the other hand.. you have Retro with bonus, we don't.. you have international with bonus and dvd, we don't...!
I have the canadian VHS copy, so no subtitles.. since I also have the "Best of" on video, I have all the videos, (it's the Japanese NTSC edition), I manage to do a trade for this, so I got it for free more or less.. (it was listed at 80$US on CDNow then!)
Both of those items should make it to DVD, I don't see why they would wait.. we'll all buy it anyways. But I'd prefer to see the BBC Sessions before that!
I bought the American edition of "NewOrderStory" just after it was released. Eight years on from this purchase (yes, 2001) I discovered that the Brazilian edition has 80 minutes more and subtitles in my native language. Now I can't find it anywhere around here anymore.
You can imagine my frustation. :(
Is the US version identical to the ITV broadcast version that was transmitted on the night of the 1993 Reading gig? I somehow suspect it is so... you'll be able to tell if the closing credits have "World (Perfecto Mix)" played over them.

i'm pretty sure the N.O. Show was done for Neworderstory
I really hope that one day Warners might see sense and release New Order Story officialy on a couple of DVDs for the first time - with UK/US/Europe-wide distribution - and maybe add the newest videos for the GetReady singles and perhaps other selected TV footage on top of it as updated extra's.
Who reckons that would be a better suggestion ?

As mentioned The Carlton in Nice.Heard somewhere that Clint Eastwood paid 5 grand US a night for a suite a few years back.Should be a fucking nice place for that amount!
Here in Spain is nowadays imposible to get NO Story. No 60, or 90 or 120 minutes version. Nothing at all 
We had New Order Story on telly on an alternative show a some years ago, but it was a very short version, two half hour episodes, and only the World video, and (probably because it was on telly) I don't remember it was ever imported on VHS.
