Don't know if we've attempted something this comprehensive before yet, but with so many new people here, I thought it would be a good idea to get everyone to post up details of your complete Joy Division / New Order 7", 12", Cassette, Album, DAT, CD, Video, DVD, book, etc. collection for everyone else to marvel at......let's see who the most dedicated and/or obsessive fans are - and I know there are lots of you out there - but this I feel may well sort out the true heavyweights from the wet-behind the ears inductees amongst us .... :)

It would be great if everyone can make the effort to post with their contributions, just so we can get as broad a picture as possible of exactly what motivates us to such extremes as parting with an arm and a leg if need be to obtain that rarest of NO/JD artefacts - even if it is something as useless as a piece of torn bog roll as used by Barney from the Hacienda toilets.....or indeed the truly seminal Sly 'n' Robbie mixes of "Ruined In A Day"s CD digipak edition....

Glad to see that you've got both of the History In Cuttings book, those are something that I really enjoy.

Well ONE day i will start to post MY collection on here but i am too busy RECORDING it for ADAM and STEPHEN..only a few 12inch records that is....to have the time at the moment to do this.I have never catalogued the collection so it could be QUITE an eye opener.It will give HUNTSMAN something to scoff about when he sees the BIG gaps in the JOY DIVISION part as i only really wanted 12 INCH SINGLES at first!Should have COLLECTED it ALL when it was available but NEVER affordable even with my salary back then in the early 80s.Fantastic THREAD HUBERT and i am ALREADY jealous of MURV'S and some of you other NOOL'S collections.My has been described as the 8th WONDER of the WORLD...and the collection ain't bad either. When I see or hold a Brotherhood LP it takes me right back to the day it finally arrived in my local record store and I took it home, ran upstairs to my room and listened to it 10-15 times...

I totally AGREE with both of you.Indeed ownership of ALL the ARTWORK/RECORD and the hunting down said artifact in the first place was all part of the joy of collecting. Here now recording the GREEN CEREMONY from 12 inch to cassette then transferring to PC and then burning to CD-R. Long winded but GREAT results as i cannot get a good link from amp to PC via the PHONO sockets and the amp tp MINIDISC is still cutting out ONE channel.This way is working and the results will be pleasing for a few NOOL's here.
