Alright, I can't quite believe that I've finally made it to this level. I've been listening to Joy Division/New Order for over 20 years, and have enthused by their music that very few other bands have even come close to matching.
Thanks first of all are due to the webmasters of this site, Nic and Seb, for their hard work in putting together a site that is truly one of the best that I've seen, and how this has at times has been practically a full-time job. I like to come here at the end of a work day and read the news, watch a video or two (not any more though) and hear what fans from around the world have to say.
In terms of providing info about NO from the UK, I've always enjoyed Jarvo and Tim/Sloppy/Benny for being ace in that regard. Also posters from the UK like Johnny Giles, Old Blue, Rocket Mick, Hank Wiseass, Major T., Fingers, Liv, and The Hacienda have entertained me as well with their stories and opinions, as has the Shugster and Inta-Don; hope to see the both of you in July in Seattle for a bit of vacation and fun.
It's also great to hear from people like Marco, Ricardo, Buster Klumpy, and Budvar with their experiences, as well as the Aussies who were helpful when NO were Down Under.
Can't forget some of the Americans as well, like Jeff the mad Texan, Jim Giliberto from New York, Taboo #7 for his endless enthusiasm on a lot of different subjects, and Brian/BLT from Seattle, for not being shy whatsoever in letting his feelings being known. Agentwood, WenOrder and Lickmodem have also been informative as well.
Sorry to say that I do miss a few people like Iain Curtis, Kimberly Jensen, Janaki, and Gnu Odor cause they're very funny people, but that's the way things go on the boards I guess.
I've gotta admit that I learned a heckuva lot about things other than New Order from the Martian from Outer Space, Martin Gray, during his stay on this board.
Thanks also to snucker and Hubert for keeping up the banter with me, and a really big up to Hubert for being a Mekons fan (Marty too!). :)
Hope I didn't forget anybody, if I did, it wasn't intentional. I usually visit this site at the end of a day, and this site, both in the forums and other content, has brightened a few days here in the rainy Pacific Northwest.
