Rhino sent me a bonus disk today

So yes, I have the bonus disk but not the boxset since it is on backorder.

Here are some interesting tidbits/facts:

CD is white with the following text along the upper ring of the CD:

NOT FOR SALE SEPARATELY PRCD 400072 * This compilation 2002 London Records 90 Ltd. Manufactured & Marketed by Warner Strategic Marketing. Warner Music Group, an AOL Time Warner company. Made in the USA.

The bottom backside of the cardboard sleeve reads:

This CD issued FREE (while stocks last) to purchasers of RETRO New Order 4CD set. Not for sale separately.

So it looks like the UK folks get a unique CD and the USA folks get a unique bonus CD (i.e. PRCD40072). Does the UK one have a PRCD number?

So, Rhino sent you ONLY the 5th CD?? Did they send out a email telling you that they were going to do this? I ordered a copy from them on the 7th (after searching all over San Francisco for the Limited Edition... and having no luck...) and have yet to hear back about when they are going to ship ANY part of it out to me...

I received the same thing: just the bonus disc, with no explanation.

Same thing happened to me today. I was quite shocked since I assumed that the backorder was due to the bonus CD. Anyone spoken to Rhino to find out if the boxset has been shipped?

Sorry, I am a first timer online. I have the Retro Box Set but wasn't sure if it contains the bonus disc and didn't want to open it until I found out if it is included. Anyone have the UPC number on the Limited Edition with bonus disc? Thanks for your help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the Limited Edition boxes had a second sticker on the front that said something like: "Limited Edition - includes 9 Track Bonus CD". At least, the pictures of the Limited Edition version on ebay show this sticker...

So, anyone (besides me) still waiting for Rhino to send them ANYTHING? I have yet to receive even the Bonus CD that others, including a friend of mine who ordered Retro from Rhino hours AFTER I did, have already gotten...

I got my 5th CD as well but the Boxset as you all know who ordered from Rhino is on Back Order.

Well today I decided to say "F*ck that" considering HMV had 3 of them on their shelf today so I'm cancelling my order from Rhino and bought it at HMV.

The only reason I bought the thing through Rhino was because I thought I'd get it faster.

I keep emailing rhino and they won't answer. the description says 4 discs, but their tracklist have the bunus songs. If I order it can I still get the 5th disc?

I rang HMV and they told me the Australian RETRO will have the 5th disc ( dunno how many of this will be available ) on 20th January....this Monday.

Was hoping it will be a unique Aussie issue...not just a direct import from HMV.UK....

The site now says that they have "sold out of the bonus disc".

I finally got my bonus CD from Rhino this afternoon. Then, like SO many others, I promptly called up Rhino, cancelled my order for the backordered box, then went to Virgin and bought it.

The only way to get the bonus CD now seems to be Ebay...

Good call. All I really wanted was the bonus CD as well.
