For yanks go for a superbowl or equivalent.

The premise is to imagine they are both once in a lifetime opportunites.

I could not care less about this Footy cup. So it was easy.

And Real Madrid will win it again, anyway!

Sorry, but if Celtic ever reached the European Cup Final again, I'd gladly sell my landlords flat to get there.

I have more chance of winning the lottery than this happening! The Terriers are bottom of the second and despite the fact that New Order frequently disappoint live they are thankfully not as consistant as Huddersfield. My vote goes with the band.I do remember one great night many moons ago when we knocked Leeds out of the League cup.Apologies to Johnny Giles!

Fcuk me that's a tough one. Are we supposed to treat this as the last ever NO gig?

If YES, then I'd do the Order, couldn't bare to miss their swan-song. For as much as anything, I'd fear it would be the last time I'd see many of the Order disciples that I've had the pleasure of getting to know. And I'd convince meself that Leeds would make another European Cup Final in my life time, well we've made it once & 2 semi's in the last 30 odd years so there's gotta be some chance. No sniggering at the back, Pizda/Rocket.

If NO, then I'd do the European Cup Final. Bands have a habit of playing last ever gigs ;)

My fav team already won a European Cup, so my choice goes to NO ...

New Order, as Budvar said, Real Madrid is beginning to tire us with his European wins....

There's no doubt I would choose to follow Celtic. I wasn't even born when we became the first British club to win the European Cup in 1967. Good chance Celts or L'pool can go all the way in the UEFA this year Ian. Shame we have to meet next if we both get through.

Don't really give a rat's ass about pro sports too much (I'll read the pages and watch ESPN, but won't take the time to watch a game in its entirety), plus the only local pro sports team (NBA Blazers) did win a title when the game was watchable, so it was a fairly easy choice for the Order.

I'd have to choose watching Aston Villa in the cup final. I've already seen NO live but haven't seen Aston Villa play. Perhaps if I hadn't seen NO live before I'd go for them.

this is a tough one, never seeing new order, vs. a super bowl trip to see the raiders, if they get in  i'll have to think about this a bit longer...can i get back to you after the weekend, or the super bowl???

I perhaps should have made it clearer. Say for arguments sake your team, however unlikely this may seem at present, has reached the major final. This happens to coincide with your only chance to see New Order. Disregard the fact that lots of you have already seen them. Now for some strange reason you know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to do either one thing or the other.

I don't give a suck about foccer. Or vice-versa. Anyway...

I think I've got to go for the cup final, sorry!

At least I'd still have all my New Order records.

Huddersfiled Town eh? I take it you know about http://www.htfc-world.com/, quite simply the most hilarious footie website ever? Absolute genius.

As for the original question......football, no doubt about it.

Well, Dinamo won the Fairs Cup a long time ago, but the whole footbal world is fixed for the big and rich now, so New Order it easily is, and I could always watch Dinamo in the domestic league.

I was in the amazing position last year to have both: a New Order concert and my club (Feyenoord Rotterdam) winning the UEFA cup...the last one being an even rarer occurance (first one since 1974). Even though New Order is close to my heart and I couldn't live without their music, it cannot compare to the sheer happiness that match and the final whistle provided. And I wasn't even in the stadium. So the football wins.

It would have to be The Tims. Though I'm beginning to suspect that there is potential heartbreak on the horizon for us all concerning O'Neill. Vanishing Point, anybody???

Oh to be so lucky!!! As a United fan, I am lucky anough to have been to a ECL Final. IT was one of the 2 best nights-out of my life (the other being Apollo98.)

To ask me to choose between the 2 is sooo difficult, but even Neworder do gigs more often than United get to ECL Finals, so I'd say footy.

Football, no question.

Only qualified once for Europe and, of course, we were banned at that time.

With the money in the game now I doubt we'll even make the top flight again in my lifetime, barring a miracle run.
