Actually, they "only" stole the guitar riff for "Interzone".

Well, Deborah Curtis stated this in her book, but I'm not sure about that. This excerpt from a New Order interview in The Face, July 1983 may clarify things a bit.

They fell in with Northern Soul DJ Richard Searling who wanted them to record a cover of N.F.Porter's Northern Soul classic "Keep On Keeping On" - which he planned to sell to the TK label, at the time part of RCA. "We tried to do it but we're fucking hopeless at cover versions," recalls Sumner. "We did do it in a way," says Hook. "We learnt the riff - that's as far as we could get - and we used it on 'Interzone'."

okay then you are probabably right then because i did get it from debbie curtis' book i actually was reading that very part on the train ride to work this Morning,lol

actually it is tonight at maxwells in hoboken new jersey and i will let ya know how it is

maxwells is really really small, johmmy marr and the healers played about 10 or 11 songs they were pretty good , the drummer was great! they have a solid set but a few of the songs are repetitive as hell, his guitar playing was excellent and he talked it up with the crowd a bit, last night was their third night playing at maxwells, the place is so small there is no backstage and the band had to come on through the crowd!,lol

well frank, looked for ya there, but the place was mobbed, couldn't even find the people who had my ticket for an hour :laugh:

He was OK, the songs grooved but needed either Barney or Morrissey to get them going IMO. And it was so cold after the show, I was looking for the bus stop in an unfamiliar town at 1 in the morning with freezing wind and that made me more critical than if it had been the summer.

i was standing on the steps by the wall the whole night,lol you didnt yell out manchester did ya?,somebody did yeah it was cold as hell i got a cab!

wasn't me, that was some guy in the back by the bar, i was in the back next to the sound board
