Hi. Just wanted to tell you all that the font used on the New Order 3 16 and the Finsbury Park DVD is called Antique Olive Light. Its also used on the japanese only release of Crystal that features live tracks on it.

You can buy it from here:

P.S. Rhino sent me the Bonus CD but no box set as of yet.

You mean that Peter Saville and the slaves he uses these days just BUY fonts instead of inventing them?

Oh how I miss those Substance days (JD version). Brilliant artwork, courtesy of the sadly missed Brett Wickens!

Though I have long believed that Brett W. was the REAL talent at P.S.A. & subsequently Frankfurt Balkind, it has to be pointed out that he did NOT design the font on the Joy Division "Substance" sleeve and associated promotional artwork...

Oh Sweet Lord! Just when I thought this place couldn't get any duller.......................

4.45, when I mentioned the "Substance JD artwork" I ment the LOGO on the front sleeve (the fluo green thing...), not the rather average font used in the back and inside sleeves -the same one as NO's Substance and Technique, really.

"Dull" is my middle name, I must confess...

Peter Saville did invent a font called FLOMOTION in 1992.

<< Peter Saville’s FloMotion (fig. 69), designed for the Summer 1992 Virtual issue, was created by putting a version of Goudy through Photoshop’s blur function. Eroded and indistinct, FloMotion is intended to act as a metaphor for the distortions of the virtual reality. >>

I now officially stand corrected!
