Last year in Manchester the Royal Exchange Theatre staged a production of Noel Coward's 1930s play Design for Living. The posters and advertising I saw described it as a bizarre love triangle. I was intrigued by the connection I perceived in that the title of the play was similar to the early JD EP Ideal for Living and the description was of course a NO song. I have tried to discover whether Coward used the description BLT in his original play but I have not been able to obtain a text of the play. Or was this an attempt by the promoters of the play in Manchester to draw in a huge local audience on the back of a NO connection! (Well if it was it worked to the extent of at least 2 extra seats sold. An enjoyable performance too.) So who was first with the phrase Bizarre Love Triangle? Coward or Sumner? If it was Coward then who in JD/NO is the Noel Coward fan?

I heard the title BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE was simply taken from the front page of The News of the World newspaper in the UK.
Or maybe BS was indeed giving me some BS!

Just been going through the lyrics to BLT but there doesn't appear to be any reference to any third party so who makes up the triangle?
HAHA, like most NewOrder song lyrics contain references to the title. Anyone care to tell me where the title Spooky comes from?
No idea? Me neither.
could be wrong but think I read somewhere that Spooky is the name of the sample used at the start of the track.
