I've got an ultrarare studio bootleg years ago. And still it seems impossible to find its credits: date and name. Here is the tracklisting of it:

 1. Love Will Tear Us Apart [instr.]
 2. All Day Long
 3. Angel Dust
 4. Angel Dust [intsr.: drum programming only]
 5. As It Is When It Was
 6. Weirdo
 7. Let's Go
 8. Every Second Counts
 9. Angel Dust [part 2]
 10. Lonesome Tonight
 11. Shellshock
 12. Sooner Than You Think [instr.: drums & synth only]
 13. Untitled [instr.]
 14. Skullcrusher
 15. Touched By The Hand Of God [mix]

All of them are not the same as released masters. These include lots of talking and starts. They were apparently recorded in 1984-1986.

Has anyone heard of it?

Angel Dust part 2 ?? this is not evil dust is it?

and TBTHOG came out in 87 so a remix appearing in 86 sounds rather odd!!

Are you sure this isnt a cover of some sorts?

This is one for Rocket or Timbo i feel,

or even JS if he feels like setting the record straight :)

It might be "Evil Dust", indeed, since they have here only drums and synth with a voice sample. But this is not a master.

And I know TBTHOG could not be there for its date of release but it is there (maybe it is not from those sessions and just appended for some reason). All songs are obviously live studio takes. "Lonesome Tonight" sounds really more raw and strong than the released version.

But more intriguing is the untitled track near the end - it's an ambient Eno-like theme with no guitar, voice, drums...

Hey Ian,

Can you copy/post some of the tracks? Especially the instrumental maybe?

The Salvation! tracks were recorded around September 1986 and Touched by the Hand of God was performed live for nearly a year before it was released.

I shall try to do that but I'm not good at encoding and transmitting music yet.

salvation being released in 88 suggests that these werent rill y written specially for the film then - salvation theme must have been renamed etc

I have this bootleg, minus the last three tracks. With the exception of the Let's Go demo they are all soundchecks from 85 and 86. LWTUA and Sooner are blessed with some of the finest Gillian bum notes you'll ever hear.

Interesting for novelty value, but an "ultra-rare studio" recording it aint...
