Received my copy of 511 yesterday. Up through "She's Lost Control" it's wonderful. After that, however, the number of songs where the only thing being performed "live" is Barney's singing was quite distressing and embarrassing. BLT, BM, YSF: what's the point? What's the point of watching everybody standing around on stage listening to the recording?

Well, Hooky plays bass on all those songs, Phil plays guitar on BM (sacrilege! A guitar on electronic music's greatest hit!) and YSF, Steve triggers some samples/bleeps/beats on BLT and BM and drums on YSF so you can't really say they don't do anything, can you?

...and, of course, on BM Hooky manages, as always, to trash his synpad/octapad or whatever it's called. I pitty the poor roadie who has to stand behind it trying to hold it up (yes, it's the same guy who tries -and succeeds- to stop Hooky destroying one of the floor lights...)

To me, they do so little that it is profoundly embarrassing.

No, Jorge, I haven't. But NO are a real band, and they are obviously quite capable of actually performing live when they choose to. They could perform a live version of BLT based on the Brotherhood version, but apparently someone has persuaded them this is not what the "fans" want to hear, and what the "fans" want to hear cannot be reproduced "live."

Just checked my mailbox, still not here yet :( Thought HMV shipped it on Monday, Tuesday at the latest. And if the distributor is based out of Ontario, surely it MUST be here by now
