Nic, I was flickering through the FAQ's and I've noticed the "famous directors who made NO videos" one. You could add Robert Longo, who directed BLT. Who's he? Not very famous, I agree, but he directed Johnny Mnemonic, the Keanu Reeves 1996 sci-fi turkey, based on a William Gibson (ya know he's CANADIAN?) short story.

He was actually better known for other things, wasn't he?

I remember seeing an exhibit of his work while at school in Southern California....

Basically a bunch of paintings about enraged corporate suit and tied people going crazy is about all I remember. Tryin to shake up corporate america wooooooo....

The parts of the video that are trademark would be the falling guy and woman in the suit...

Loved the video BTW, very well done...especially the part about not coming back as a bug or a rabbit :)

Incidently, from memory the cover has 2 paintings - a larger one and a long narrower one - very similar to the BLT video.

Ahh...thanks, Green.....yup, that's the one. The cover art's really unusual, don't you think?...Wonder what Robert's been thinking...or what he just had...

Must go digging in my study for that LP now....

By the way, do you remember the video clip with only pumping speakers shown throughout the entire clip?..really cool.... and I think Paul Westerberg has a new double album out now ( or soon? )....
