I've just got home from the gig and to be quite honest it was furkin' amazing. The set list was more or less identical to the Manchester shows but 'Rotten Shag' was abandoned, Barney made a right arse of the intro and declared 'Fuck it, let's do Blue Monday instead'. A classic New Order moment. Hooky strutted his stuff like the true rock icon that he is and short arse Barney danced and hopped in his usual unique style. The sound was superb, the atmosphere was superb, the whole performance was superb! New Order are clearly back on top form and loving every funkin' minute of it. Any of you guys out there in cyber space having thoughts about tomorrow night, get your asses up here and pick up a brief, the touts were out as usual, you won't regret it, I promise!
Ram were the support and they too were pretty good, though I don't know who the support are tomorrow night. All in all it was an excellent performance, I can't wait for the second leg, definately not to be missed.

Rock The Shack Blue Monday
As said, Rock The Shack wasn't played completely. And as said, it was GREAT!!
The one show I've been waiting for for 14 years or so!!! All the way from Holland it was well worth the trouble.
I'm looking forward to seeing NO again in Cologne!! Again, it was great!!!!!
It was a good laugh last night - thats probably the most relaxed and talkative I've ever seen them. Barney and Hooky should become the new Morecambe and Wise and do a Christmas stand-up special.
Highlight was Transmission and the abandonment of Rock the Shack after only about 30 seconds (Huntsy - you would have been pleased).
Though I must say some of us mid thirty somethings down the front were absolutely knackered after the first 4 songs and you could see everyone hoping they would do a slowie soon - obviously can't take it anymore (LOL!).
Anyway roll on Brixton...I hope they can find it within them to give us a rendition of Perfect Kiss for old times sake.
Disco... never fear, my eyes lit up when I first caught site of reports 'Fuck the Shithouse' was left to rot by the stage floor. Justice was served by the band themselves... great stuff.
