Dear Taboo 7...

I'm stupidly proud to say that, in this board history so far, I've ahd the thread that got the most replies. More than 120, if I remember well...

And the subject was very precisely that (worst song)...

And I just added my vote for World In Motion, though Shellshock comes pretty damn close as well

Can we continue speaking of The Cure now?

*GRIN* :D

Seriously, is Cut Here released yet? I'm looking forward to read the Orderliners' reactions about this song that many Cure fans said to sound "a lot like New Order".

It's not being released in the US, I know that much, but it may be out already. In fact, I'm gonna go to a Cure site right now and check that out....

I have a really REALLY REALLY rare four-track ep of their classic "Pornography" Lp which only lists the first two songs and the last two, but there also feature three really exclusive inter-track links each of which only last about a minute and on closer inspection turn out to be instrumental loops made up of samples from three of the tracks left off this EP. And no. I'm not going to sell this version to ANYBODY either!!

Originally posted by Sébastien Boisvert I am for sure -- and I've been collecting different live versions of Faith for a while!Three Imaginary Boys / Faith / Seventeen Seconds / Pornography... wow...They released an album EACH YEAR at that time. Creativity, you said?S.

Funny you should ask this Taboo - as you set up a topic about The Cure elsewhere and I've already made a point about which Cure songs ripped of NO and vice versa - go back to it and have a look, see if you agree!

Originally posted by Taboo # 7 Cash for Questions: Robert Smith is asked how many songs he figures he ripped off New Order. He says not as much as they ripped the Cure off. Professional rivalry, perhaps?

The melodica on Truth gives me goosebumps every time.....

Originally posted by Sébastien Boisvert I always thought that Dreams Never End, Truth and Doubts Even Here were great tracks. And I'd really LOVE to hear Truth being played live today, with today's sound and technology. I think it could turn out to be very good... a bit like when The Cure are playing their very old tracks (which THEY do not hesitate to do, even if it means to play 32 songs sets for nearly 3 hours).

I was mesmerized by the rendition of All Cats Are Gray that was done on the Dream Tour. I think New Order could do the same with Truth, today. But Bernard doesn't give a damn...

Sébastien.....go henceforth to Taboo#7's separate Cure topic and check out my list of New Order songs that sound like the Cure and Cure songs that sound like New Order!!! Quick!!

Originally posted by Sébastien Boisvert Don't you think that some of the early Cure work really sounds a lot like early New Order/Joy Division? You just can't ignore that!
