here are the rumored bands being courted.

2nd stage

Cat Power Dilated Peoples Tegan and Sara Plea of Ignorance Jurrasic 5 Jerry Cantrall Redwood Central Modest Mouse Misfits The Octoberists Tomahawk Four Frames Division of Laura lee International Noise Con. Elevator Through Soundtrack of our Lives Memory Bank Sea and Cake Johnny Cash

Could this be true?

The Cure and New ORder? hmm sound too good to be true. I wonder how that would go. May office mate is equally as obsessed about Phish as I am about New ORder. Maybe this something we can do together.

First off, You know Barney will not tour that long. And if they do go, it will only be selected cities.

But since they are in the studio, I don't think they will do it.

the line up right now looks like shite. and from watching enough music festivals on tv, i'd rather not go anyways. hot, sweaty, over-priced water, camping and fighting for a good spot....no thank you.

for the most part, yeh. but its alright considering its such a behemoth of a tour. but don't get me wrong, there is tons of duds. but the (vague)possibilty of some sea and cake, interpol, cure and new order is exciting. they're even trying to appeal to the 'indie' set. but the rest about the heat, tenting and tons of people is true. worth it? maybe.

..and audioslave etc is lame.

There's no way. Lullapashitta would never book a bunch of really awesome has been bands. The first year it was really great and every year after it got tired and then more tired and then finally even more.. yawn... snore.

This band list would be crazy insane! Bauhaus, NO, Cure, Janes Addiction, Throwing Muses? No way. I will believe it when I am standing in front of the main stage watching Bauhaus, know the Cure goes on next.

jane's addiction back together! and on the same stage as NO? that would be a dream come true. i missed the first lollapalooza b/c i was out of the country--and then jane's broke up . went to the next two and then lost interest.

and who would put johnny cash on the second stage? well, i guess if you have too many incubus fans, taste may be lacking somewhat... :nonono:

I saw Jane's Addiction at the Melbourne BDO, they were great. I think they are a truly great band.

The setlist looks a bit too good to me, and yes it almost looks like some kind of best of the 80s tour with some of those mega names.

Cheers ALEX

Bet you New Order dont play, they put names like that on just to spark a bit of initial interest.

Like they'd get Barney to do 28 dates in the US these days.......he's had enough after 90 minutes, let alone doing the same set over and over again for weeks !

Nobody said they would do the full tour.. would be nice if they do the east coast for a chance...
