Here To Stay Poll

Maybe top 15...i think it's a very good song. Maybe the best since the Repuublic era.

Got to admit the Extended Instrumental is great, and IMHO the best thing NO have done since Regret. But Top 5? When you're up against the Arsenals, Liverpools, Man Utds etc. in the form of:

Temptation Perfect Kiss Touched by the Hand of God Your Silent Face Procession

Then Here To Stay is probably Bolton Wanderers or West Ham up against that lot.

It's good, significant dare I say, in this post reformation period, but not a class above. I first heard it on the radio without knowing who it was and thought it sounded like a 1983 New Order outtake that had been tampered with by the Chemical Brothers not believing for the slightest minute that NO had another single out so soon. It's funny that Here To Stay and especially Brutal are by far the stand out tracks of the reformed NO and yet they've sneaked them out on film soundtracks rather than heavy single off album promotions. It's like London records are letting them do the old Factory commercial suicide tricks again. Keep it up.

Yes. I really love this song. Have to admit I was a bit sceptical before I heard it when I heard that The Chemical Brothers would be involved. Nothing against them, but was worried about the possible route NO may be taking. Thankfully, the fears were unfounded. When it started getting airplay, it would actually put me in a good mood at work (which takes a bit of doing, at times!)

Was also a bit surprised that a decent tune was getting played at that particular time of day. (Anyone who listens to the so-called "number one hit music station" in Ireland between 7.00 pm and midnight-1) will know the kind of dross normally served up. :sleep2: That station is now banned in the workplace at said hours!

At times, yes. I have no 'official' top 5 list. But Here To Stay slips in and out at times.

Great song but not in my top 10.
