I'm having a hard time believing the boys (and gal?) will be recording a cover..

So what? They still have leftovers like Such A Good Thing? they will have a NEW MIX of a song? What?

Your call!

I heard that too... can't see barney's voice being up to the "you-hoo-ooo" bits.

Nah, Hooky's doing them if you'll let him out for the day.

Seriously though, I reckon it'll just be a remix, possibly of Love Vigilantes, with a tacky parenthesised title, e.g. Love Vigilantes (2003 Peace on Earth mix)

Actually my money's really on a re-recorded JD number.

The New Order track won't be listed. However if you search you will find as a hidden track. Posibly Love Vigilantes. Then again possibly not.

I had bad thoughts of modifying lyrics of "World In Motion" to adapt it to the situation...

Use your imagination, it keeps flowing.

Given that this War Child album is a rush job I really wouldn't expect anything great to be written and recorded under pressure. My safe guess is they'll release a remix of something already available. I'd be very surprised if they do a cover as they've never released a studio cover as far as I can remember and given many excuses in interviews. I seem to remember that before Get Ready was released there was a rumour that they were going to release Isolation (new drum n bass '99 version) as the comeback single. Is that still collecting dust in Hooky's shed? I'll be happy as long as they don't cover Culture Club's "War Song". "War is stupid and people are stupid, so why don't you all...errr, piss off."

Just hit me that All Day Long would work well in this context too...

I don't think Paradise would go down too well though...

I think New Order would come up with a new song. They may have something in the closet that has never been released. If Electronic were contributing, they could use "Flicker" from Twisted Tenderness. Great anti-war song.

This world's out of reach but I don't want it the people are creeps that live here on it it's always the same it's not gonna change when we go to school with Saddam Hussein I'd cry all night if I could change it ask Jesus Christ could he arrange it is there anyone out there who cares if a child can run free can a girl walk the street will United get beat.
