D Coverdale, lead singer of the Snakes that are quite pastey in tone. Most notable effort to date was a picture disk with him on it decked in a large cloak and brandishing a cane with a diamond tip. Cool.

I don't think he reckoned on the fact vinyl rotates, so for 33% of the time he's upside down.

David Coverdale, the lead snake, incidentally, heralds from the area I am in. Which really doesn't add to his Hollywood image as a tough guy singer with an axe to grind.

I question whether this relationship is having a positive effect on your taste in music, H.

For all I know he split with Animal House bird in '85. The myth is worth propagating.

Just for the record, I only enjoy cool metal, naff 80's rock bands are not worth the salt they run on their own wounds.

For purposes of broadening my music knowledge, H, what qualifies as "cool metal"?

That's something you'd have to take up with my people.

I like the Mondays version of Blue Monday too! It almost sounds how my band do it! Class film! Definitely one of my favourites, behind TAXI DRIVER, ERASERHEAD & BATTLE ROYALE. Not seen DONNIE DARKO yet, but looks wicked! Renting it out from my place of work when its released.

Originally posted by Huntsman I'm not aware of their work.I currently have a craving for Metallica, with their sandmen and black art.Like Rowan Atkinson, it would not surprise me to learn Steve Cookman was headed for Hollywood fame and predictable fortune, watering down any talent for irony they ever owned.:hat:

I can see that happening...

Another Hugh Grant on the lose..

The axed Morrissey scene is included on the UK 2 disc version. Kind of cute.

Ironic that the dull Mondays dominate the movie while NO/JD dominate the soundtrack. Substance.
