Just flicked on the Extreme Sports channel, first thing i saw was some old bloke being interviewed in front of a JoyDivision Closer poster!
Then a montage article on Tony Hawk (skateboard god) done to the theme of Ceremony!

"Rest of NO" is an excellent example of extreme sport...
I love the Closer cover, one of my faves ever.

Agreed, when played at the correct volume, it can leave you hot, sweaty, and is a pure adrenaline rush.
Then again, so is sex :D

same with cooking a stir-fry!..oh, wait.
RAAM, the race across America on bicycles is an extreme endurance sport. People get on their bikes in Irvine, CA and ride to Georgia in something like 8 days. The first 48 hours they do not get off their bikes, all food is giving to them from support vehicles. The record is 7 days, I think. I read where a woman who competed would listen to New Order while riding.
