Blue Monday is not on PC&L. At least not on the true one, i.e. the Factiry version of it. So it shouldn't be in this list. So I'm voting against it.

Ultraviolence is just too bloody boring near the end. The rest of the album is clutch...yuck, this is not gonna be fun towards the end....

I know BM isn't on the proper vinyl album, but it was on the US cassette of PC&L, so today, BM will receive a reprieve. Ultraviolence, so long!

Blue Monday. Shouldn't have been in this poll in the first instance.. .

Oooh, it's a thriller at the moment...my vote has tied it at 13-13 between BM and Ultraviolence.

Have to go for Blue Monday on the basis that it shouldn't be in there. If it does win, it'll be like Denmark winning the European Championship all over again. :nonono:

Blue Monday should not be on this poll, and won't be by tomorrow with any luck ! Ultraviolence is a great track.

I can't believe the number of people who are voting for Ultraviolence - but then again, "everybody makes mistakes".

Time for blue monday to find a convenient passing bucket, and KICK IT!!!

I feel like kicking in an open door. After we have rid ourselves of Blue Monday, it looks like it'll all be down to two groups of three:

likely to go out first: 586 - The Village - Ultraviolence the final three: Your Silent Face - Age Of Consent - Leave Me Alone

I honestly cannot believe that so many forum dwellers dislike Ultraviolence so much . If ever one poor feller has been deserving of immunity, it's this one.

My theory is that the overpowering presence of Your Silent Face and Leave Me Alone (originally bookending side B) has caused many listeners to subconsciously lump the two intervening tracks (which do bear some resemblance) together, and to let their judgement of the former be affected negatively by the latter. Goes to show how crucial the placement of tracks on albums can be.

I can only assume that none of the people hell-bent on voting out Ultraviolence have never experienced it in its live glory. Live, it is a truly remarkable track, this insidious spitting synth beat that is really low in the recorded mix comes right to the fore, and it has a powerful quality that seems to have been denied to those not in the know. If the recorded version were as good as the live version, this would be many people's favourite track !

Amen to that!
