Just received a text message from Donnie Brasco (he's out on the razz) he asked me to post this topic before I buggered aff.....
For which songs do you think Barney needs the Autocue for?

Autocue is like a teleprompter, right?
He uses it because he was tripping on stuff when he wrote the lyrics and doesn't remember them.

probably the ones that appear to be most personal to him, like Regret. it's only the pisstake live lines like "a halo that covers my balls" and "if it wasn't for your big penis / i'd be aheavenly person today" that he's really singing from the heart.
At Paris last year, I had an excellent vantage point, and could see that he has the autocue for every song. Unfortunately for me I could see which songs would be next in the set !
i'm sure at this point in his chemically-enhanced life it's a bit of a security blanket to have the autocue there at all times.
hell, he would probably need it for elegia if they ever played it live again!

I know which song he doesn't need an autocue for, "Sub-Culture", i can't stand his voice on that one. Instead newOrder should do "Dub-Vulture".
