My nod to New Order...

Hey All, My band, Avenpitch, recently finished our debut album. Any ways - there's a track on it called "Hacienda" which was inspired by two books I recently read on New Order: Mick Middle's "From Joy Division to New Order" and Tony Wilson's "24 Hour Party People."

Basically I just wanted to capture the attitude and hedonistic lifestyle of New Order, the Happy Mondays, Factory Records, and the Hacienda in the 80s.

Hey LWTUA- The size of the tune is actually bigger than what my email can hold/send, so sadly I can't help ya - plus I have 56K. The best I can do is just point you at the target to download the track. Zebox is nice because they don't ask for your email or any of that stuff. You simply click and download. Hope that helps.

Hey ShugZV- Thanks for the interest. Obviously any musician (even the guys in New Order) run the risk of sounding stupid or arrogant when describing their own music. So in an attempt to avoid ridicule from the board I'll just give you a slice of what our most recent bio reads:

A rampage of contorted vocals shift sporadically from an intense primal scream to a docile whisper; energetic and determined powerchords deteriorate into a melodic synthesizer line; entire passages exist only to be engulfed by a barrage of static and the cacophony of skull-crushing beats; 70s glam intermixed with 80s alternative; 90s pop mangled around old school hip-hop; the attitude and mentality of punk methodically manipulated by the technology of today.

Even if that doesn't explain a thing, hope it at the very least peaks your interest;).
